Connecting gardens, groups and growers to create a more resilient food future in Darebin

Summer in the Northcote Library Food Garden

Our summer vegetables and gardening group are growing and ‘flowering’ beautifully at the Northcote Library Food Garden.  More than fifteen gardeners joined in on Sunday 13th January to water, prune, tend compost and plant.

Our garden has coped well with some of Melbourne’s extreme weather days of late thanks to a watering roster that teams small groups of gardeners up for a week of watering responsibility (although our tank would love a good summer storm to replenish supplies!).

Check out some more of our beautiful summer flowers on our blog this month and join us for our next community gardening day on Sunday February 10th from 10am-1pm.
